EGRFA has been instrumental, along with the Lions Club, in establishing the East Gippsland Timber Milling Project. The project now boasts two Lucas Mills and a huge array of vehicles and heavy equipment. Both mills have been working for months in Sarsfield to date and this week, one of the mills (and equipment) was relocated over to Wairewa to commence converting felled trees into usable timber for local landholders in that region.
